HUTTON FOUNDATION’S ENDOWMENT GRANT PROGRAM continues to be a valuable tool for local area nonprofit agencies. The program provides the “hands-on” tools necessary, including a sample endowment policy, to establish an endowment fund as well as matching funding.
Hutton Foundation believes endowments are one of the first steps to longevity and sustainability to the programs and services delivered by nonprofit agencies. Our current program awards $25,000 grants to qualifying applicants. The recipient agency must match our $25,000 award 3:1 resulting in an initial $100,000 endowment.
While the monetary awards of our program are beneficial, we have come to realize that the tools provided in our application package might actually prove more valuable. Many more agencies have requested our endowment application package since the program’s inception in 2000 than we have funded.
