Early Childhood Education Collaborative

The Early Childhood Education Collaborative (ECEC) initiative represents and intentional, long-term, strategic and measurable approach to a major community need to building Santa Barbara’s next generation of great citizens through a "whatever it takes" attitude toward supporting and educating young children.

The first and primary goal of this collaborative is to prepare the children of Santa Barbara County for kindergarten.

The ECEC does not view this effort as a program or a project, but as a sustained results-oriented community-wide commitment – first to our kids and families, and ultimately about the legacy we want to leave.

Founding partners include First 5 Santa Barbara County, The Santa Barbara Foundation, The Orfalea Foundations, The J.S. Bower Foundation and Hutton Parker Foundation.
